The National Archives Digitization Services Branch recently completed a project to improve the technical infrastructure options for reformatted video in the cultural heritage community and is pleased to release the final products for use by other institutions and the public.

Hydra at Code{4}Lib 2012

WGBH Turning Audio and Visual Media into Scholarly Resources for Tomorrow with Hydra and Fedora

WGBH was recently awarded an NEH Preservation and Access Research and Development grant  to develop an Open Source Digital Asset Management System for Media Preservation.  This project will develop a digital preservation system for media files based on Hydra, utilizing a Fedora repository that can be easily implemented and hooked into storage systems for preservation.
