A new opportunity for add-ons that we call, the #makeITopen campaign, could represent a turning point in the Community support services already offered by 4Science.
At 4Science we truly believe in the value of openness and we are committed to release in open source everything we develop. In order to do so, we need the Community support and participation.
Following meetings in 2014, 2015, and 2016, we are happy to announce that there will be a fourth German DSpace User Group Meeting in 2017. The German DSpace User Group Meeting 2017 will be organized by Fraunhofer IRB, Stuttgart University Library and The Library Code. It will take place at University of Stuttgart on Thursday, 21st September 2017. So please, save the date! Further information will be sent out.

Austin, TX The 2016 DuraSpace Membership Campaign closed at the end of October. By joining DuraSpace this year 159 members are now connected with the DSpace, Fedora and VIVO projects they depend on. DuraSpace members become open source project part-owners who actively help advance project goals by participating in project governance. Thank you to all our members for believing, as we do, in working together to provide enduring access to the world’s digital heritage forever.
Santiago, Chile On December 6, 2017 the Universidad La República and Prodigio Consultores, a DuraSpace Registered Service provider specializing in digital information management projects, are set to offer a one-day workshop. Highlights will include discussions of good engineering practices and examples of DSpace technical implementations including development of statistics and usage metrics.
