Nairobi, Kenya A three-day workshop on how to use DSpace to showcase and share broad agricultural knowledge was offered by @mire and held at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) campus in Nairobi earlier this week.
DSpace user Peter Ballantyne, Head of Knowledge Management and Information Services at ILRI organized the workshop to help others learn how to leverage this out-of-the-box, open source repository technology to spread information and share agricultural information.
Nadia Manning-Thomas, ICT-KM Program, has posted her impressions of the Workshop in this blog post: http://ictkm.cgiar.org/2010/12/02/mind-the-knowledge-gap-by-making-use-of-online-technologies-like-dspace/.
