Ithaca, NY Paul Gearon, Technical Lead and Developer, DuraSpace, has announced the release of Mulgara 2.1.7. Major changes in this release include: long running queries executed over RMI can now be interrupted; better SPARQL compliance in the algebra, and; more efficient memory use for some operations. The new Mulgara release can be downloaded from: http://mulgara.org/download.html.
Mulgara is a scalable RDF database written in Java that can help solve organizational information overload by making sure that data can be found, accessed, shared and reused.
Typical metadata about a word-processed document or an electronic mail message might include the author, the recipients, the subject, keywords, concepts addressed, people named, dates or places mentioned. Mulgara stores all of this metadata and creates relationships between it.
