Hull, UK The Fedora UK and Ireland User Group looks forward to welcoming participants to the summer 2009 meeting of the Fedora UK and Ireland User Group. The event will be hosted by the Digital Humanities Observatory at the Royal Irish Academy in Dublin (Tip: Ryanair (http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/ offers low fares.)
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday June 9, 2009 starting at 10:30 (coffee and registration from 10:00). Formal business will finish by 15:30 in order that there is plenty of time for informal chats afterwards. Lunch will be provided. Details of the Academy are at: http://www.ria.ie/about/location.html and the page includes details about convenient accommodations, but (to quote our host Don Gourley) “I’m not sure that is the same thing as suitable (or affordable).” The DHO has prepared a different list for a summer school, some of which might be helpful (‘The D4’ is apparently particularly recommended: http://dho.ie/ss2009/practicalities/accommodation).
If you plan to attend, please let Richard Green, UK & Ireland User Group Co-chair, know as soon as possible noting any special dietary requirements. The group looks forward to seeing many of you there
