On January 22, 2015 Stephanie Davis-Kahl, Scholarly Communications Librarian & Associate Professor, Ames Library, Illinois Wesleyan University and Oceana Wilson, Director of Library and Information Services, Crossett Library, Bennington College presented, “Real Life Experiences with Hosted Institutional /Digital Repository Services.”  During this webinar, they shared  how their institutions strive to meet the goal of access and long-term preservation through a hosted service. They included information about their selection and implementation process, the benefits of selecting a hosted service, challenges they faced and some specific use case examples.

This was the third and final webinar in the DuraSpace Hot Topics Community Webinar Series, “Doing It: How Non-ARL Institutions are Managing Digital Collections,” curated by Liz Bishoff, Partner, The Bishoff Group LLC.

A recording and presentation slides of all three webinars is available at http://duraspace.org/hot-topics.

Our next Hot Topics series will highlight ORCID.  ORCID persistent digital identifiers connect research and researchers by distinguishing an individual from every other researcher. Learn more about ORCID functionality in DSpace, Fedora and VIVO in a new Hot Topics webinar series curated by Josh Brown, ORCID Communications Manager for Europe.  Registration information will be available next month.
