Curated and Presented by Artefactual Systems, Sarah Romkey, Systems Archivist and Courtney Mumma, Consultant, US and International Community Development
Earlier this year Artefactual Systems and the DuraSpace organization launched ArchivesDirect, a complete hosted solution for preserving valuable institutional collections and all types of digital resources. Ensuring that your digital holdings remain both safe and accessible for future generations at prices that you can afford makes ArchivesDirect the best choice for one-stop durable, safe and cost effective long-term preservation and storage.
The powerful, combined Archivematica plus DuraCloud, ArchivesDirect service manages and preserves digital objects by providing tools and services for ingest, preservation, storage and maintenance over time. This series provides detailed insights into developing institutional workflows to get ready, get set and go forward with using ArchivesDirect to preserve and store valuable digital content over time.
This series consists of 2, 1-hour webinars:

Digital Preservation with ArchivesDirect: Go!
Tuesday, May 26, 1:00PM Eastern
The second in a series of two, this webinar will show institutions how to process their content through a digital preservation system (Archivematica) and store it in DuraCloud. We will briefly review some use case scenarios discussed in the first part of the series, and then demonstrate how those use cases would be applied using the ArchivesDirect hosted digital preservation service. Attendees will see variations on the processing workflow along with the resulting archival package (AIP) and its metadata (METS.xml with PREMIS).
