Rio de Janeiro, Brazil On May 10, 2016 the Luso-Brazilian Digital Library (BDLB) was launched. This project is the result of a partnership between the National Library of Brazil and the National Library of Portugal. DSpace Registered Service Provider, Neki IT, took part in the technology definition, installation, customization and maintenance of the portal, using DSpace and Wordpress software.
The Luso-Brazilian Digital Library reattaches historical ties and establishes a lasting partnership with great potential to expand, incorporating digital assets of many other repositories of Lusophone countries. The portal gathers metadata from a network that comprises dozens of cultural institutions in both countries and is born with a respectable set of 2 million digital resources.
