By Dung Hoang, Hanoi D&L, a registered services provider of DSpace in Vietnam, is pleased to announce the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia DSpace knowledge repository went live this month!
Successfully establishing INCEIF’s knowledge repository (http://ikr.inceif.org) is the result of utilizing the full package of DSpace services provided by D&L including consultation, installation, configuration, customization and training. The repository will represent INCEIF’s intellectual output to a global audience as well as to provide discovery and access to Islamic finance knowledge in support of INCEIF’s vision to become a knowledge leader in Islamic finance.
DSpace 5.2 was used as the core platform with several customizations and add-ons such as:
New design for the user web interface.
Add-on module for the management and representation of Author Profiles.
Add-on module for administration and authorization module in which digital objects can be set to be view-metadata-only, view-only or view-and-download.
Add-on Document Viewer module
D&L aims to promote its professional services outside of Vietnam, especially in the South East Asia region. The services provided to INCEIF are an example of D&L’s comprehensive approach to providing customer solutions.

The International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) (www.inceif.org) was established in 2005 by the Bank Negara Malaysia (the Central Bank of Malaysia). It is one of many initiatives undertaken by Malaysia to develop and nurture talent and experts under the MIFC (Malaysia International Islamic Finance Centre). INCEIF offers three postgraduate programmes in Islamic finance, namely Masters in Islamic Finance Practice (MIFP), Master of Science in Islamic Finance (MSc) and PhD in Islamic Finance.
