Austin, TX  DuraSpace is pleased to announce that the Fedora team recently completed a redesign of http://fedorarepository.org. The site was designed in consultation with members of the Fedora Leadership Group and reflects a modern, mobile-friendly approach that makes it easy to find key items first.

Prior to redesigning the web site an analysis of DuraSpace monthy webmetrics data revealed that users navigated to the basics quickly. They want to know what Fedora is, what it does, and how to get it—about, features, and where to download the software to try it out.

In addition “The Fedora Quick Start Guide” to help new users get started is now featured on the homepage. The Fedora Registry, “Who’s Using Fedora,” where visitors can learn about more than 300 organizations in 35 countries that use Fedora, and where you can register your own Fedora implementation, is under the “About” menu.

Please take a look! If you run into any issues with the site, or if you would like to share feedback please contact Fedora product manager David Wilcox <dwilcox@duraspace.org>.
