Introduction to Fedora Workshop at DLF 2016 Forum

Austin, TX  This year the DLF (Digital Library Federation) Forum Nov 6-10, is combined with two additional events–the Liberal Arts Colleges Pre-Conference and Digital Preservation 2016. The event will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at at the historic Pfister Hotel.

On Tuesday, November 8 David Wilcox, Fedora Product Manager for DuraSpace, will offer a three-hour, hands-on workshop focused on introducing participants to Fedora 4—the flexible, extensible, open source repository platform for managing, preserving, and providing access to digital content. Highlights will include a basic introduction to Fedora 4—feature overview, data modelling best practices, and common integrations with external applications and services.

The workshop begins at 8:30 AM and includes a 30-minute networking break at 10:30am. Please register in advance to receive instructions for installing a virtual machine prior to attending the workshop.
