Ithaca, NY Any discussion about making a digital collection accessible eventually circles around to the question of “how long?” The Texas Digital Library (TDL) was awarded a $25,000 Historic Preservation and Digitization Award from the NN/LM South Central Region to make 500 photos that illustrate medical history in Dallas available. The Library chose to create a public face for the images through CONTENTdm. In order to assure the longevity of “Dallas Medical Images, 1890-1975″ UT Southwestern Medical Center is preserving the collection in a DSpace repository.
