CALL for DSpace Community Advisory Team (DCAT) Members

Ithaca, NY Would you like to get involved in the new feature development process for DSpace? Would you like to learn more about the DSpace release process? Would you like to expand your network and connections in the DSpace community?  The DSpace Community Advisory Team (DCAT) is currently seeking new members from the DSpace user community.

The primary goals of DCAT is to help review and facilitate community-wide discussions about new feature requests and to provide support to the DSpace Committer group in producing software releases.

DuraSpace Announces New CEO and Chief Strategy Officer

Ithaca, NY  DuraSpace, a not-for-profit organization providing open source software and services, announced today that Michele Kimpton will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2011.  Kimpton is currently the Chief Business Officer of DuraSpace, and formerly the Executive Director of the DSpace Foundation.

NOW AVAILABLE: Fedora 3.4.2 Improves Memory and Stability

Ithaca, NY The Fedora committer team has announced the release of Fedora 3.4.2.

This is a bugfix release that addresses several memory and stability issues with the core repository service.

Many thanks to those in the community who contributed to this release; particularly Janna Wemekamp (FCREPO-774 and FCREPO-823), Jörg Panzer (FCREPO-774), Nigel Thomas (FCREPO-846) and Mark Roy (FCREPO-820).
