Winchester, MA  The 2014 DuraSpace Annual Report tells the story of organizational accomplishments and milestones with overviews of DSpace, Fedora and VIVO open source project advances, and DuraCloud, DSpaceDirect and Archives Direct hosted services development and deployment. The report also provides key related financial analyses and membership campaign details, along with information about supporting marketing and communications initiatives and strategic partnerships.

From the VIVO Steering Group

Winchester, MA  We are pleased to announce that DuraSpace and the VIVO Steering Group have appointed Dr. Mike Conlon, University of Florida and member of the DuraSpace Board of Directors, as the new VIVO Project Director. He will begin in his new role immediately, working closely with the community and steering group to set the long term roadmap for VIVO, the open source semantic web platform that provides an integrated view of the scholarly work of an organization.

Winchester, MA  Debra Hanken Kurtz became the new CEO of DuraSpace on February 16, 2015, taking the reigns from outgoing CEO Michele Kimpton. Ms. Kurtz looks forward to leading the organization in new directions while building on the solid foundation established by Ms. Kimpton. Recently Kimpton paused to reflect on key accomplishments and changes during her time at DuraSpace that will point the way toward new and evolving opportunities for the organization and the communities it serves.

Winchester, MA  Dr. Layne Johnson will leave his position as VIVO Project Director effective February 28, 2015.  Layne has worked hard in the interests of VIVO's growth and sustainability, and we've seen some excellent progress. After reaching the important milestone of documenting a strategic plan for the project, Layne has decided to pass the role of leading the community through its implementation to a successor.
