Report from the DSpace User Group Meeting Held in Conjunction with OAI8

Heverlee, Belgium  Participants from 9 countries convened on June 18 in Geneva, Switzerland for an intensive one-day DSpace User Group Meeting. The group was a mix of developers, repository managers and service providers. This mix generated many ideas and discussions in an atmosphere of mutual respect and enthusiasm for the DSpace platform. Read on for some of the interesting bits that came up during the course of the day.

Keiji is a freelance consultant on library-related systems. Before beginning the current job, he worked as a librarian in two university libraries and the NACSIS (currently NII [1]) for 20 years.

DSpace Bootcamp Recordings, Slides and Notes

Heverlee, Belgium  During the morning session of the recent DSpace Boot Camp held on May 28 in Ghent, Belgium, Pieter Van der Elst walked participants through the DSpace directory structure and shared a few customization best practices. Bram Luyten gave a primer on XML User Interface customization.
