Plans are in the works for a half day DSpace User Group Meeting from 8:30am to 1pm on March 14, 2012 in Kansas City, Missouri, immediately following the SPARC Open Access Meeting  (http://www.arl.org/sparc/meetings/oa12/) on March 11-13.

Boulder, CO Early registration ends on January 17 for the ELI Annual Meeting, "Taking the Pulse: Connecting, Assessing, and Innovating," where a matrix of themes that capture the key opportunities and challenges facing the teaching and learning community will be explored. Washington, DC Proposals are now being invited for the SPARC 2012 Open Access Meeting Innovation Fair, where new technologies and strategies will be showcased in engaging, informative, rapid-fire presentations. The Innovation Fair is a highlight to the regular SPARC meeting, now set for the Kansas City Intercontinental Hotel, March 11 through 13, 2012.

CNI Fall Membership Meeting

Washington, DC The Coalition for Networked Information (CNI) Fall 2011 Membership Meeting will be held December 12-13, 2011 at the Arlington, VA Crystal Gateway Marriott.

CNI member organizations meet twice annually for membership meetings to explore new technologies, content, and applications; to further collaboration; to analyze technology policy issues; and to catalyze the development and deployment of new projects.

Report from the DC Region Fedora Users Meeting

Ithaca, NY On October 14, 2011 the DC Region Fedora Users Group held their semi-annual meeting in Washington, DC to exchange information on formative Fedora repository projects and inititatives. While highlights included lunch from the Hula Girl Truck ("bringing a taste of the Hawaiian Islands to DC") 13 projects and 38 attendees were on hand to share updates about how Fedora repository software is being implemented in government and cultural institutions.

Regional Fedora Users Meeting

Ithaca, NY There will be a regional Fedora user group meeting on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 9am-4pm at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. for anyone in the D.C./Maryland/Virginia area.
