Winchester, MA  Duraspace is pleased to announce that presentations in the DuraSpace channel on SlideShare were among the top 2% of "most viewed" on SlideShare with 16,758 views in 2013. SlideShare Zeitgeist, a review of current trends and tips of how people used slides to share information last year, notes that people wanted more short, visual content in 2013 with fewer slides and less text.

Winchester, MA  A DuraSpace Solutions Webinar: “The National Agenda for Digital Stewardship: Coordinated National Planning for Preserving Our Shared Digital Assets,” was held on January 15, 2014.  Butch Lazorchak, digital archivist in the National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program at the Library of Congress, presented an overview of the National Digital Stewardship Alliance and provided an in-depth look at the 2014 National Agenda for Digital Stewardship.

Winchester, MA  As the number of DuraSpace project repositories grows–in January 2014 there are more than 1,600 registered worldwide–the desire to learn more about them–where are they, how they are accessed online, what type of content they hold, software versions, specializations etc.–also increases. Answers to these and other questions can lead to greater connections among institutions and repository instances with similar goals and interests.
