Fedora4 Seventh Beta Phase Sprint Completed: Authorization, Simplified Deployment, Large Files++

Winchester, MA  The Fedora team has completed the seventh sprint within the "Beta Phase" of Fedora4 development that began with a a week-long hackfest [1] in Austin held alongside of the DLF conference. The majority of Sprint B7 developrs attended the hackfest in addition to some other Fedora developers. Two highlights of the event were:

• Consensus on targeted subset of 4.0 capabilities [2] scheduled for the next community-facing release

 The release of Fedora 4 will be the culmination of a dynamic community initiative to refresh Fedora's proven repository architecture for the next decade. This poster was created by Tom Cramer, Stanford University Libraries, for the Aligning National Approaches to Digital Preservation (ANADP) II Action Assembly being held Novemeber 18-20 in Barcelona, Spain.
