WGBH Boston TV News Digital Library: "Clips of History, A Click Away"

Boston, MA On Saturday, July 10, 2011 Boston Globe readers got in on the truly amazing ability to to "see"  both broad and detailed views of the history of local news from 1960-2000 at the Boston TV News Digital Library based on Fedora repository software:

http://bostonlocaltv.org/

The Boston Globe story contains video clips from four collections:

The project, a collaboration between WGBH, the Boston Public Library, Northeast Historic Film and Cambridge Community Television brings local news stories alive. For those who are accustomed to looking up news stories on microfiche machines the ability to access local news history through archived broadcasts online  is a valuable and unique resource.
