Toronto, Canada The University of Toronto Faculty of Information will host the International Conference on Preservation of Digital Objects (iPRES2012) in Toronto, Canada in October 2012. iPRES2012 will be the ninth in the series of annual international conferences that bring together researchers and practitioners from around the world to explore the latest trends, innovations, and practices in preserving our digital heritage.

Nairobi, Kenya The XXth Standing Conference of Eastern, Central and Southern African Library and Information Associations (SCECSAL) will be held June 4-8, 2012 in Nairobi, Kenya. The theme "Information for Sustainable Development in a Digital Environment" highlights opportunities for information professionals in Africa to take advantage of the recent transformation from print to digital information.

Ithaca, NY The DuraCloud (http://DuraCloud.org) team will host the second in a new series of web events to familiarize customers and the general public with DuraCloud features NEXT Wednesday, March 28 at 12:30pm ET. Wednesday's brown bag session will detail the media streaming capabilities in DuraCloud and how you can use them to embed media files into your own applications.
