Winchester, MA  Join the DuraCloud team online for the fourth brown bag session of 2013 TOMORROW, May 29th at 12:30pm ET.  May's brown bag session will detail the new integration between DuraCloud and Amazon Glacier, specifically discussing the unique qualities of Glacier cloud storage, use cases best suited for using Glacier, and also give a brief demonstration of how to backup content into Glacier via DuraCloud.

Winchester, MA  A recording and presentation slides of the May 16, 2013 DuraCloud webinar are now available. The presentation focused on the integration of Amazon’s Glacier with DuraCloud’s preservation and archiving service. Presenters Michele Kimpton, DuraSpace Chief Executive Officer, Tim Harder, Amazon Web Services’Business Development Manager, and Bill Branan, DuraCloud Architect provided details about how Glacier works as part of the DuraCloud service.

Fedora Futures Project Welcomes New Technical Lead

Winchester, MA  The DuraSpace organization and the Fedora Futures Project are pleased to announce that Andrew Woods will take over as the new Technical Lead for Fedora effective May 15, 2013. In this role he will provide technical leadership for the Fedora Futures Project. Woods joined the DuraSpace organization in early 2009 as a Fedora committer. Since then he has helped establish the D.C. Area Fedora Users Group, been a project co-lead on DuraCloud, and worked in various technical and advisory capacities within DPN, APTrust, Chronopolis, and NDSA.
